The magic of Omart!

Nathalia Syam is a Filmmaker and practitioner based in London. Nathalia has been working in between the British and Indian Film Industries for the last ten years. Nathalia currently has her British directorial debut Feature named 'Footprints on Water' in post-production. Produced by Mohaan Naadar at The Production Headquarters UK, Footprints on Water has Adil Hussain, Antonio Aakeel, Nimisha Sajayan & Lena Kumar in lead roles. This film looks into the lives of illegal immigrants in the UK. Indian National award-winning editor Suresh Pai and Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty are in the film’s postproduction team. She currently teaches at the City Academy Film School, London. 

 

Her short, Lehenga, was nominated for the 'Best of British' award at the Bafta Qualifying Iris Prize Award in Cardiff and has an award at the IIFA in LA. Nathalia also directs commercials, some of which has been aired in British Television channels such as Sky Sports, The Food Network and BBC. As a film practitioner, she is the BFI Film Academy Filmmaker for Resource Productions and has delivered many workshops for Resource Productions and other publicly funded projects.
